Curriculum

At Long Buckby Junior School we are proud of our broad and balanced curriculum which encourages increasing links between Literacy and Mathematics with the whole curriculum. You can find our 'Four Year Curriculum Plan' by using the link on the left of the screen.

At the moment the children are engrossed in their Tudor Project - see the class pages for more details.

Not all subjects lend themselves to being taught in this way and as a school we have taken the decision to teach Maths, Literacy skills, Science (when necessary), PE and RE as discrete subjects.  In RE we teach the subject according to the agreed syllabus for Northamptonshire.  Personal, Health, Social and Economic Education (PSHE) is delivered using the Northamptonshire scheme of work.  Please use the links on the left to see more information about the different subject areas.

As a school we follow the new national curriculum.
